A 13-YEAR-OLD Jumma girl belonging to Tripura community was reportedly raped by a Bengali settler on Wednesday, October 07, in Matiranga, Khagrachari.
The victim, a 8th grader of Matiranga Municipal Model High School, was on her way home in Ichachari village after attending a class test at her school when Md. Jahangir, 25, son of Md. Abul Kalam attacked her.
The incident took place at a lonely place between her school and home.
Jahangir muzzled her mouth with her scarf and then raped her.
Later local people recovered her in a senseless condition and rushed her to Matiranga health complex.
But the attending doctors referred her to Khagrachari Sadar Hospital because of the gravity of her condition.
