But after repeated requests from the local people, the army raided a house at 3am and arrested one of them.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He has been identified as Runu Chakma, 25, son of Pankha Chakma of village Digholchari, Subolong.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A firearm was recovered from his possession.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>However the other two managed to flee in a motorized country boat.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Runu Chakma has admitted to plotting to kill UPDF members in Subolong.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He was handed over to the police today and a case has been initiated against him.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The incident came in the wake of several failed attempts by Santu group to capture UPDF office in Subolong.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><b>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><i>News No. 118\/2012. <\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>chtnews.com Monday, October 29, 2012 An activist of the Santu Larma faction of the Jana Samhati Samiti has been arrested after a failed attempt to assassinate members of the United Peoples\u2019 Democratic Front (UPDF) in Subolong, Rangamati.
