{"id":1535,"date":"2015-02-12T19:55:29","date_gmt":"2015-02-12T13:55:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/?p=1535"},"modified":"2023-01-30T16:35:10","modified_gmt":"2023-01-30T10:35:10","slug":"attempted-rape-of-a-minor-girl-in-manikchari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/2015\/02\/12\/attempted-rape-of-a-minor-girl-in-manikchari\/","title":{"rendered":"Attempted rape of a minor girl in Manikchari"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>chtnews.com<br><\/strong>Thursday, February 12, 2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An 11-YEAR-OLD Jumma girl child has been subjected to an attempted rape in Kalapani Tila Para under Jugyochola Union in Manikchari Upazila of Khagrachari district. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Farook (35) son of Khalilur Rahman of the same village made the attempt at about 11 am Thursday, February 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The child was alone at home while her parents were busy working in the nearby paddy field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Farook, a motorbike driver, entered their house, grabbed her and then tried to rape her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the victim, a fifth grade student of Kalapani Government Primary School, screamed for help and her parents rushed there and rescued her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They caught Farook in action but could not dare to hold him in fear of retaliatory attacks in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He mounted his motorbike and sped away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her parents and the village elders later went to the police station to register a case in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br>News No. 23\/2015<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>chtnews.comThursday, February 12, 2015 An 11-YEAR-OLD Jumma girl child has been subjected to an attempted rape in Kalapani Tila Para under Jugyochola Union in Manikchari Upazila of Khagrachari district.
