{"id":1556,"date":"2015-03-16T09:55:22","date_gmt":"2015-03-16T03:55:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/?p=1556"},"modified":"2023-01-28T07:25:25","modified_gmt":"2023-01-28T07:25:25","slug":"fresh-attempt-to-grab-land-in-mahalchari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/2015\/03\/16\/fresh-attempt-to-grab-land-in-mahalchari\/","title":{"rendered":"Fresh attempt to grab land in Mahalchari"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>chtnews.com<br><\/strong>Monday, March 16, 2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BENGALI settlers have made a fresh attempt to grab 2.5 cres of land belonging to Chayabazi Chakma, 50, in the village of Kiang-ghat under Mahalchari Upazila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 8 march, a group of 12-14 settlers from Kiang-ghat cluster village made a second attempt to grab his land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dispute was to have been settled under the mediation of Kiron Chakma, chairman of Kiang-ghat Union Council, but the settlers did not turn up for the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the settlers involved in the land grab attempt have been identified as Md.
