{"id":157,"date":"2012-10-11T06:52:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-11T00:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/?p=157"},"modified":"2023-01-30T17:58:27","modified_gmt":"2023-01-30T11:58:27","slug":"two-jumma-students-arrested-by-police-in-matiranga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/2012\/10\/11\/two-jumma-students-arrested-by-police-in-matiranga\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Jumma students arrested by police in Matiranga"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div><i><a href=\"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chtnews.com<\/a><\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>Thursday, October 11, 2012<\/i><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><b>POLICE on Wednesday arrested two Jumma college students from Ballyachari Signboard area of Matiranga Upazila in Khagrachari district.<\/b><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The arrested have been identified as Pankaj Tripura, 17, son of Bikram Kishore Tripura of village Sapmara and Nipon Tripura, 17, son of Dipal Mohan Tripura of village Dholiapara in Washu.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Both of them are first year students of Matiranga College.<\/div>\n<div>According to sources, some Jumma youths yesterday stopped a bus at Baillyachari Signboard area and took a Marma girl out.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The girl, from Sat Bheiyapara of Khagrachari Sadar, was believed to be eloping with one Delwar Hossain, 27, son of Rahim Ali of village Ezbalia, Maijdi, Noakhali.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Delwar Hossain scuffled with the Jumma youths and tried to incite communal violence over the issue.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Later police rushed there at 12 noon and arrested the boys.
