THE American Jumma Council has held a demonstration in front of the United Nations Headquarters in <\/b>New York<\/b> to protest against the 22 September Rangamati attack and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheik Hasina\u2019s visit to the UN.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The demo, held from 8am till 3pm, on 27 September (NY time), was coincided with Sheik Hasina\u2019s visit to the UN.<\/div>\n

The demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing Rangamati attack.<\/div>\n

\u201cWake up, wake up world leaders; wake up wake up Ban ki Moon, wake up wake up UN, Hasina lies, Jummas die; get out military – free CHT, Oh UN can you hear me; Hasina shame shame, give back our lands, stop land grabbing\u201d they chanted.<\/div>\n

They also handed out leaflets to diplomats, media persons and passers by.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
American Jumma Council is an organization of the expatriate and exiled Jummas living in the United States and was formed on 15 September this year.<\/div>\n
