{"id":2081,"date":"2016-04-30T14:55:21","date_gmt":"2016-04-30T08:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/?p=2081"},"modified":"2023-01-28T03:59:57","modified_gmt":"2023-01-28T03:59:57","slug":"one-found-dead-in-ramgarh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/2016\/04\/30\/one-found-dead-in-ramgarh\/","title":{"rendered":"One found dead in Ramgarh"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chtnews.com<br><\/a>Saturday, April 30, 2016<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A JUMMA villager named Manendra Tripura was found dead in Gorukata of Ramgrah Upazila in Khagrachari district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 66-year-old\u2019s mutilated body \u2013 with the head, a hand and a leg severed \u2013 was found in the jungle near his home at about 8 am on Friday, April 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police from Ramgarh Thana recovered his decomposed body after the local people informed them of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local villagers, Manendra, son of Karmadhan Tripura, had moved to Gorukata area from Taracharan-para village under the same Union two years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He lived in his home alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The villagers told&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chtnews.com<\/a>&nbsp;that they had seen patches of blood on the floor of the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018I guess he was dragged about 100 yards into the jungle after being killed inside the house\u2019, one of the villagers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that there lived four Bengali settler families, who had come from Satkhira district in the plain land, near Manendra\u2019s house and that all of their houses were found locked from outside, which meant that they had left their homes after the alleged murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These four settler families of Md. Majid (50), Md. Ebaidul (52), Md. Din Ali (50) and Md.
