{"id":223,"date":"2012-07-10T07:18:00","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T07:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/?p=223"},"modified":"2023-01-29T06:41:53","modified_gmt":"2023-01-29T06:41:53","slug":"land-grab-in-barkal-alleged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/2012\/07\/10\/land-grab-in-barkal-alleged\/","title":{"rendered":"Land grab in Barkal alleged"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\"><i><a href=\"http:\/\/chtnews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chtnews.com<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<div><i>Tuesday, July 10, 2012<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>There are allegations that Bhobesh Chandra Das, a Bengali settler, have grabbed lands belonging to two Jumma villagers in Suaripata village under Bhushanchara Union of Barkal Upazila in Rangamati district, reports Samakal, a national Bengali daily.<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.samakal.com.bd\/details.php?news=70&amp;action=main&amp;menu_type&amp;option=single&amp;news_id=275576&amp;pub_no=1108&amp;type#.T_uR2Re-lbA.facebook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.samakal.com.bd\/<wbr \/>details.php?news=70&amp;action=<wbr \/>main&amp;menu_type&amp;option=single&amp;<wbr \/>news_id=275576&amp;pub_no=1108&amp;<wbr \/>type#.T_uR2Re-lbA.facebook<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to the report, published in today\u2019s issue of the paper, Bhobesh grabbed the lands belonging to Joy Kumar Chakma and Purno Kumar Chakma, and is now trying to oust them from their homesteads by making false allegations of illegal occupation and theft against them.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><a name=\"more\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div>A notorious litigant and land thief, Bhobesh Chandra Das sold out the grabbed land to Md.
