She is a four grade student of Ultochari Government Primary School.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The incident happened at 2:30pm today, Wednesday, when Sujata Chakma was grazing cows half a kilometer from the village. A 6-year old was along with her.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to the child\u2019s statement, a bearded Bengali man came and forcibly took Sujata away towards upward of Sadachara.<\/div>\n<div><a name=\"more\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div>She then ran to the village to give the news.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The villagers rushed to the spot, but by then the culprit had ran away after raping and killing her.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>After being informed, the police reached the spot and recovered the body of Sujata.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Hill Women\u2019s Federation\u2019s general secretary Rina Dewan has condemned the rape and murder of Sujata Chakma and demanded that government takes immediate and effective steps to bring the culprit to justice.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u2018The setters continue to commit rape with impunity; not a single rapist has ever been brought to justice, and this is the single greatest factor contributing to the recurrence of this heinous crime.\u2019 she said.<\/div>\n<div>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><i>News No. 28\/2012.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>chtnews.com \u00a0May 09, 2012 AN 11-year old Jumma girl has been reportedly murdered after rape in Longudu Upazila in Rangamati district, Hori Kishore Chakma, Rangamati correspondent of daily Prothom Alo, has reported.
