{"id":4243,"date":"2011-02-18T22:47:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-18T16:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/?p=4243"},"modified":"2023-01-31T22:48:34","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T16:48:34","slug":"jumma-girl-raped-in-chittagong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chtnews.com\/english\/2011\/02\/18\/jumma-girl-raped-in-chittagong\/","title":{"rendered":"Jumma girl raped in Chittagong"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>chtnews.com<\/strong><br>News No. 20\/2011, February 18, 2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A TEENAGE Jumma girl has been raped in a residential hotel in Chittagong, banglanews24.com says.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(http:\/\/www.banglanews24.com\/detailsnews.php?nssl=2ec14612fd4f01f8865e35f4c3b87ed1&amp;nttl=2011021829998&amp;toppos=6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It said the incident had taken place at Diamond Residential Hotel at Bahaddarhat on 16 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without mentioning the name of the victim, the internet site said on Wednesday she went to Chittagong with her uncle on a holiday and checked in Diamond Hotel (room No. 7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After midnight Alamgir, the owner of the hotel, and his manager entered the room, tied the girl\u2019s uncle and then raped her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rapists also took away three mobile phone sets, a pair of golden earrings and a necklace worth Taka 70,000 and cash Taka four thousand from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It further adds that the rapists had videoed the rape incident on a mobile phone, and threatened to make it public unless Taka 50 thousand was paid to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next day, at noon, they were released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On reaching home, the girl informed her father, Mra Thoai Marma, about what had happened, and on Thursday filed an FIR (First Information Report) with Bandarban police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officer-in-charge of Bandarban police station, Jahangir Alam, said since the incident took place in Chittagong he registered a general diary only and sent a request to Chandgao Thana (in Chittagong) to institute a regular case in connection with the said rape incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>chtnews.comNews No. 20\/2011, February 18, 2011 A TEENAGE Jumma girl has been raped in a residential hotel in Chittagong, banglanews24.com says.
