Col. Noor Morshed (CO) of the Longadu Maini Zone and acting second-in-command Major Ferdous, as well as Lt. Col. Moshiur Rahman (CO) of the Naniachar Zone and Senior Warrant Officer Shahidul Islam.<\/p>\n<p>On the fifth day of the operation, today, Saturday (29 November 2025), two more individuals were subjected to physical torture by the army team stationed at Kattoli Mango Garden (Aam Bagan) in Longadu Upazila.<\/p>\n<p>The victims are Chikko Chakma (32), the younger son of the innocent villager Laxmikanta Chakma living near the mango garden, and Ashaloy Chakma (25), son of Subhash Chandra Chakma.<\/p>\n<p>The soldiers took them into the mango garden and asked unnecessary questions such as \u201cDo you know the names of the terrorists?\u201d and \u201cWhere do the terrorists live?\u201d Then they blindfolded them and beat them on their legs and various parts of their bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on Thursday night, the soldiers broke into Chikko Chakma\u2019s house and took away a solar panel, battery, and bulbs. They also picked coconuts at will from his coconut trees.<\/p>\n<p>It may be noted that on 26 November, two individuals named Suman Chakma (22) and Jonkka Chakma (17) were also tortured by the same group of soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the soldiers stationed at Kattoli Mango Garden slaughtered two goats today (Saturday). Every day they continue traveling back and forth between Longadu and the mango garden carrying food supplies and other items. They have also started clearing soil and cutting trees to construct a helipad there, where a helicopter is reportedly expected to land.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the army team stationed in Debachara of Bandukbhanga Union in Rangamati Sadar Upazila moved to Kuramara Primary School this morning. Lt. Col. Moshiur Rahman of the Naniachar Zone is expected to visit there tomorrow (30 November).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the soldiers stationed at Tholchaap and Horinathchara schools in Naniachar Upazila are also still positioned there.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the continuous army operations, local residents are living in fear.
