While the settlers were reportedly forced to flee following resistance from local residents, the incident has triggered widespread tension in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bAccording to local sources, a group of ten settlers, led by an alleged Muslim land grabber identified as Kuddus, arrived on Monday morning, July 27, 2026, in an attempt to seize the indigenous community&#8217;s land. When local residents stood their ground to defend the property, the settlers were forced to retreat.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bHowever, the confrontation turned violent, leaving an indigenous resident identified as Mahendra Chakma (55) injured.
