The group then took shelter inside a nearby forest and remained there. Local residents said the group included about 15 Army personnel and 10 armed men wearing Army uniforms.<\/p>\n<p>The group came out of the forest at around 11:00 a.m. on Monday, according to local sources.<\/p>\n<p>At around 9:00 a.m., another group of 15 to 20 Army personnel reportedly left the Naikyapara Army camp in Guimara and headed toward Nakrai via Taindongpara Road.<\/p>\n<p>At around 10:00 a.m., 30 to 35 Army personnel reportedly travelled in three vehicles from the Sindukchhari Zone to Nakrai via Ramesu Bazar, according to eyewitnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Local residents believe the Army personnel went to Nakrai to provide security for the armed men who were staying in the area.<\/p>\n<p>At around 11:30 a.m., local residents said the Army personnel and armed men were still staying inside a teak plantation in Nakrai.<\/p>\n<p>The presence and reported joint activities of Army personnel and the armed men have caused fear and concern among residents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guimara Correspondent, CHT News Monday, August 31, 2026 Bangladesh Army personnel and armed men allegedly backed by the military conducted a joint operation in Nakrai, Ward No. 9 of Hafchhari Union, Guimara Upazila, Khagrachhari, leaving Indigenous residents fearful and uncertain about their safety.
