THE Santu group members beat up an activist of Democratic Youth Forum in Chittagong today, says a press release issued by UPDF.
DYF member Ribel Chakma was on his way to work at Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) at 7:15am when a group of JSS men led by Satej and Pavel roughed him up.
Ribel Chakma works at the Bond Shoe factory at CPEZ in Bandar Thana area of Chittagong, the press release said.
Another DYF leader Supreme Chakma was also stopped by the same gang while he was going to his work in the same area, but they did not dare to lay a finger on him.
DYF convenor Mithun Chakma condemned the attack on Ribel Chakma and urged the government to bring the culprits to justice.
