Demo held in NY against Rangamati attack

THE American Jumma Council has held a demonstration in front of the United Nations Headquarters in New York to protest against the 22 September Rangamati attack and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheik Hasina’s visit to the UN.

The demo, held from 8am till 3pm, on 27 September (NY time), was coincided with Sheik Hasina’s visit to the UN.
The demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing Rangamati attack.

“Wake up, wake up world leaders; wake up wake up Ban ki Moon, wake up wake up UN, Hasina lies, Jummas die; get out military – free CHT, Oh UN can you hear me; Hasina shame shame, give back our lands, stop land grabbing” they chanted.
They also handed out leaflets to diplomats, media persons and passers by.
American Jumma Council is an organization of the expatriate and exiled Jummas living in the United States and was formed on 15 September this year.
