News No. 103/2013, Wednesday, September 11, 2013THREE villagers were tortured by Santu group in Shijokchara village under Sajek Union in Rangamati district.
According to sources, on the night of 7 September an armed gang of 10 – 12 Santu Larma loyalists raided the village and beat up the innocent villagers.The victims have been identified as Bidhan Chakma, 22, son of Basanta Chakma, Jagadish Chakma, 55, son of Joy Mongol Chakma and Arong Chakma, 22.
The reason why Santu group men tortured them could not be immediately known.
