THE army detained two Jumma youths during an overnight raid in the village of Monachari in Manikchari Upazila under Khagrachari district.
According to sources, a group of army personnel from Manikchari camp raided Monachari village and arrested Thuichi Marma, 14, and Aungshi Marma, 15.
The former is a class seven student of Manikchari Collegiate High School, while the later works as a cowboy, hired by Suiu Marma.
The two boys were eating mangos sitting under a mango tree while the raid was carried out on Monday night (at 9pm).
The soldiers took them to their camp and released them at 11pm in the presence of Ayub Ali, a local UP member, and the village elders.
