The army has detained Manendra Chakma, 40, member of Ward No. 4 of Patachaara Union in Ramgarh Upazila.
Mr. Manendra was taken into military custody at 8 p.m. last night (22January) after Rabbi Ahshan, commander of Sindukchari Zone detained him from Jaliapara Police Box.
“ Rabbi called Manendra via mobile phone to tell him to come and wait for him at Jaliapara Police Box, and when Manendra went there, the commander (Rabbi) arrested him,” a close relative of Manendra told chtnews.com.
He was taken to Sindukchari Zone and has not been released till the filing of this report at 9:00 a.m. Friday .
