An innocent person was seriously wounded when armed men loyal to Santu Larma stormed a tea shop at Dozor Para in Longudu Upazila today.
The armed terrorists fired at the shop indiscriminately, wounding Dulal Chakma, 31, seriously, according to eyewitnesses’ accounts.
The attack took place at 11 in the morning today, Friday,
“ Others present at the shop escaped unhurt, but Dulal received bullet wounds to in his abdomen and in one hand,’ an eyewitness said.
He has been admitted to Khagrachari Sadar Hospital, he added.
Santu Group men led by Jongi carried out the attack, which was targetted against their rival faction, local residents said.
Some members of the JSS M N Larma faction were present at the shop, but they escaped unhurt.
