AN ACTIVIST of the United Peoples’ Democratic Front, better known for its acronym UPDF, has been arrested in Panchari in Khagrachari district.
The army arrested Pirendra Tripura, 35, son of Nishi Kumar Tripura of village Patachara, Ramgarh Upazila, from Nalkaba at 8:15am today, Friday, without a warrant.
Later he was handed over to the Panchari police station, but is not known if any case has been filed against him.
He had no cases filed against him before the arrest, UPDF sources said.
