THE ARMY on Monday, (8 June) arrested four Jumma villagers from Bongoltoli village under Baghaichari Upazila in Rangamati district.
A group of army personnel Korengatoli camp raided Bongoltoli village at 2 p.m. and suddenly fired several gunshots, sending people to run helter and skelter for cover, before making the arrests.
The army then took Chizigulo Chakma (40) son of late Bokhs Chakma, Jyoti Lal Chakma (33), Assya Chakma (32) son of Jugeshwor Chakma and Dhana Lal Chakma (45) son of Rango Kumar Chakma to their camp and released them several hours later at 10 p.m. after interrogation.
