VICE PRESIDENT of the Dighinala Land Protection Committee, Pragyan Jyoti Chakma, has been arrested from a shop in front of the Dighinala Union Council office.
A group of army personnel from Dighinala zone arrested him at 10:30 a.m. today.
Mr. Chakma, a resident of Baghaichari Doar village under Dighinala Union, is one of the roughly 800 Jumma villagers against whom a false case was filed following the 15 March foot-march, which had come under army and police attack.
He has been handed over to the police after arrest.
