THE army on Monday arrested two Jumma villagers from Manik Chandra Para under Patachara Union in Ramgarh Upazila, Khagrachari district.
The arrested have been identified as Anal Tripura (50) son of Jatin Kumar Tripura and Din Mohan Tripura Ovi (25) son of Boli Bikash Tripura.
The later is a resident of Jorichandra Karbari Para and was on a visit to his friends in Manikchandra Para during the arrest.
According to sources, a group of army personnel from Bajya Para camp under Sindukchari zone arrested them during a raid in the village.
The arrested Jummas were taken to the camp, but it could not be known if they had been handed over to the police and whether any charges were brought against them.
