THE army on Monday night searched a house belonging to a Jumma villager in Guimara in Khagrachari district, according to sources.
A group of army personnel from Sindukchari zone carried out the search in the village of Tila Para under Hapchari Union.
The soldiers in three military vehicles went to the village and searched Aunja Marma’s (son of Aungyo Marma) house for what they said firearms.
They threw things around including an image of the Lord Buddha worshipped by Marma’s family.
Nothing incriminating was found during the half-an-hour search and they army men went back to their camp.
