KHAGRACHARI : It has been reported that Matiranga upazila president of the Democratic Youth Forum, Daraz Chakma (Riken), has been abducted by Nobbo Mukosh terrorists backed by state forces.
According to local sources, he was abducted from Barapilak area of Guimara upazila on Friday (March 1, 2024) afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, Riken Chakma was going to Borpilak on a rented motorcycle from Sainguli para area of Guimara at around 5pm today. When he reached the Borpilak Sawmill area, a group of 5/6 th terrorists who were already there stopped his motorcycle and abducted him.
According to the latest information, the terrorists took him to the Guimara Army Brigade in the evening after physically torturing him and handed him over to the army.
Zico Tripura, central president of the Democratic Youth Forum, strongly condemned and protested the incident and demanded the immediate release of Riken Chakma.
