Army personnel stationed in the remote Pakujjachari area of Dhanpada in Babuchara Union of Dighinala upazila, Khagrachari, have reportedly seized two engine boats from seven locals — including Bikash Chakma, Konika Chakma, and Purnajiban Chakma — and used them to head toward the Narai Chhari area.
The soldiers forcibly took control of the boats and operated them themselves. Locals reported the incident a short while ago.
It is worth noting that yesterday (August 25, 2025), a group of 80 soldiers from the Dighinala Army Zone and the Jarulchhari Sub-zone took position in the Pakujjachari area of Dhanpada. This morning (August 26), another group of soldiers headed in the same direction with five additional vehicles.
Meanwhile, sources have reported that the army commanders leading the operation have been in regular contact with armed members of the JSS (Santu faction).
