Army Personnel Stationed at a School in Bandukbhanga

More than 40 army personnel have reportedly taken up position at Machya Para School in Bandukbhanga Union of Rangamati Sadar Upazila. Locals fear that the army may conduct search operations at night.

According to reports, today, Saturday (August 30, 2025), a team of 22 army personnel led by Commander Md. Ashraf from the Harikhyong Army Camp and another team of 22 personnel led by a warrant officer from the Subalong Camp have gathered and are currently stationed at Machya Para School. They have informed local residents that they will leave tomorrow morning after spending the night there.

However, the reason for their presence at the location remains unknown. Locals are concerned that the army may conduct house-to-house searches during the night.
