The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) is conducting operations in the Bamagaomti Raja Para and Apurna Mohajan Para areas of Ward No. 9 in Amtali Union (Union No. 8) under Matiranga Upazila of Khagrachari District, local residents have reported.
According to sources, around 9 AM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, a group of 30 to 40 BGB members from the Bornal BGB Camp in Matiranga arrived in Raja Para and Apurna Mohajan Para. This created panic among the villagers.
Locals reported that the BGB personnel were subjecting ordinary villagers to interrogation.
They also suspect that the BGB team may move toward the Sarbosiddhi Para area next.
