Army Arrests an Indigenous Motorcycle Driver in Ramgarh!

The Bangladesh Army personnel have arrested a local indigenous motorcycle driver in Ramgarh, Khagrachari district.

The arrested individual has been identified as Battyaram Chakma (32), son of Gom Kumar Chakma, a resident of Morakallya village, Ward No. 8, Patachara Union, Ramgarh.

According to sources, on Thursday afternoon (October 23, 2025), around 3:30 PM, a group of soldiers from the Batnatoli Army Camp arrested Battyaram Chakma from the South Lalchari (Rubber Plantation) area. At the time, he was returning home after dropping off a passenger on his motorcycle. Local settler Bengalis were reportedly accompanying the army personnel during the arrest.

Later, the soldiers handed him over to the Ramgarh Police Station. It is reported that a false extortion case has been filed against him.
