The Bangladesh Mro Students’ Association (BMSA) has demanded the safe rescue of Rengnoya Mro, a 9th-grade student of Bandarban Collectorate School and College, who has been missing for a long time.

On Monday morning (November 3, 2025), leaders of the Mro Students’ Association made the demand during a human chain held in front of the Bandarban Press Club.

According to the organizers, the human chain was organized to protest against the lack of adequate legal cooperation and strong action from the school and hostel authorities, as well as from the concerned authorities, even after a long time since Rengnoya Mro went missing from the hostel of Bandarban Collectorate School and College.

Leaders of various social organizations in Bandarban district and general students were present at the human chain.

Speakers at the human chain alleged that the school and hostel authorities, along with the concerned government administration, failed to provide adequate legal cooperation in finding Rengnoya Mro. They strongly urged the government administration to take immediate action to safely rescue the missing student.

It is to be noted that the missing student, Rengnoya Mro (15), is the son of Singpas Mro, a resident of Lulaing Headman Para in Gazalia Union of Lama upazila. He was studying at Bandarban Collectorate School and College while staying in the school hostel.

Although the hostel closed for vacation on September 25, he did not return home. When his family contacted the school authorities, they learned that Rengnoya was missing. Later, on September 27, the family filed a General Diary (GD) with Bandarban Sadar Police Station.

According to the school and hostel authorities, after reviewing CCTV footage, they found that Rengnoya Mro had not been seen at the hostel since September 18.
