Around 60 members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have taken position at the Kachkau Para Government Primary School in Ward 9 of Gomati Union No. 4 in Matiranga upazila of Khagrachari district. As a result, anxiety and fear are prevailing among the local residents.
Locals reported that on 20 November 2025, at around 10 a.m., BGB members entered Kachkau Para. They then went to the Kachkau Para Government Primary School, where they set up position, pitching tents in and around the school grounds to establish a temporary camp.
Residents believe that the BGB personnel came from the West Khedachara BGB camp.
It is reported that the sudden positioning of BGB personnel at an educational institution has left locals in a state of concern and apprehension.
