A JUMMA villager was wounded on Wednesday when a Bengali settler stabbed him on the back.
The attack took place at 9 p. m. as the victim, Koydong Tripura, 25, son of late Shanti Dayal Tripura from Takar Moni Para village in Gomati, Matiranga Upazila was on his way back home from Gomati bazaar.
As soon as he reached Kabarstan Tila (graveyard hill), not far from the bazaar, one Md. Rabiul, 15, son of Abdur Rashid from Bandarchara village, stabbed him from behind, injuring him seriously.
