THE Democratic Youth Forum, Hill Students’ Council and Hill Women’s Federation staged a demonstration in Khagrachari protesting the prevention of DYF’s central council in Chittagong today.
The council was scheduled to be held at Muslim Hall, but the police prevented the delegates from gathering there.
The three organisations began the protest march from bus terminal in Khagrachari town and ended it at Swanirbhor bazaar, where they held a brief rally.
The speakers at the rally condemned the undemocratic and fascist behaviour of the government and demanded that repression on UPDF and its front organisations be stopped immediately.
