A commemoration meeting and candle light vigil was held at central Shahid Minar in Dhaka while in Sajek obsequies were held in honour of the victims of the Sajek attacks.
Organised by Sajek Land Protection Committee the commemoration meeting was attended by students as well as victims of Sajek and Khagrachari attacks.
The speakers accused the government of attempting a cover-up and urged it to constitute a judicial inquiry committee without further delay.
Presided over by Gyanendu Chakma, convenor of Sajek Land Protection Committee, the commemoration meeting was addressed by Grien Soren, President of Saontal Students Union, Samiul Alam Richi, President of Bangladesh Chattra Federation, Aongay Marma, President of Hill Students Council, Hillol Roy, Joint Convenor of Biplobi Chattra Moitree, Soikat Mollick, President of Bangladesh Chattra Federation Dhaka University Unit and Namita Chakma, a victim of settler attacks in Khagrachari.
The victims burnt down the 8 March issues of Daily Samakal and Daily Jugantor for publishing distorted facts and lies about their speeches made at a seminar at CIRDAP Auditorium in Dhaka.
At the end of the discussion, candles were lighted in memory those killed in the 19-20 February Sajek attacks.

Reports from Sajek add: obsequies were held in honour of the victims today. At least 3,000 people including Buddhist monks and guests from Dhaka and Chittagong participated in it.
