Nighttime Army Patrols in Ramgarh Cause Public Anxiety

In Ramgarh, Khagrachari, nighttime patrol operations by army personnel in various areas have caused widespread fear among local residents.

According to reports, on Sunday (October 26) around 2:00 p.m., a group of Bangladesh Army soldiers from the Buttonatoli Army Camp took position at Khagrabil Government Primary School in Ramgarh.

Later that night, between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., they conducted a patrol operation in the Gorukata area. After patrolling for about an hour, the soldiers returned to Khagrabil Government Primary School.

Today, Monday (October 27), around 10:00 a.m., the army reportedly returned to the Gorukata area and carried out surveillance using drones.

Such military activities have sparked fear and anxiety among local residents.

Locals have expressed concern that the soldiers might at any time engage in oppression or harassment of civilians.

Residents of the area have complained that the army’s patrols and activities are disrupting normal public movement and daily work.
