There have been reports of an army operation in Kabukchari, located in Ghilachari Union of Naniarchar Upazila, Rangamati District.
Today, Monday (October 27, 2025), at around 10:00 a.m., a group of about 30 army personnel departed from the Kudukchari Army Camp toward Kabukchari. It has been reported that the soldiers will stay in the area for three to four days to carry out the operation.
Meanwhile, news of the army operation has sparked fear among local residents. Locals say that during such operations, civilians are often subjected to harassment and torture, and homes are frequently searched and looted under the pretext of searches.
