Three residents, including a teenager, were allegedly subjected to physical assault by army personnel in Prafulla Para of Moratila area under Ward 5 of Ultachari Union in Panchari Upazila.
According to reports, today, Thursday (13 November 2025) at around 1:00 PM, a group of 30–35 army personnel from the Panchari Sub-Zone arrived in Prafulla Para in three vehicles. They stayed there for some time and conducted surveillance using a drone.
During this time, the soldiers asked villagers various questions such as: “Where do the UPDF members stay? How many of them are there?” and other related queries.
While stationed there, army personnel allegedly beat a villager named Kholisha Tripura (37), son of the late Surjo Sen Tripura.
Later, as they were leaving the village, the soldiers detained two individuals—including a teenager—put them in the vehicle, took them some distance away, and reportedly beat them before releasing them.
The two victims were identified as: Probin Tripura (15), son of Chinta Hari Tripura, and Sona Ranjan Tripura (20), son of Birjoy Tripura.
