TWO supporters of the United Peoples’ Democratic Front (UPDF) were arrested and released later on Friday in Khagrachari district.
The UPDF supporters – Hlathoai Marma (23) son of Kongchai Marma and Monuching Marma (22) son of Monghla Marma from Choto Pilak village under Hapchari and Sindukchari Unions in Guimara Upazila – were carrying posters published on the occasion of the 19th founding anniversary of the UPDF when the police stopped them at Alutila, one kilometer south-east of Khagrachari town.
They were taken to Matiranga Police station, before being released later in the day, along with the posters and their motorbike.
