In Ramgarh, Khagrachhari, public fear has risen due to the simultaneous presence of the army and armed vigilantes known as ‘Mottaleb Bahini’ roaming the area.
It is reported that today, Sunday (26 October 2025), around 2:00 PM, army personnel left the Batnatali Army Camp in four vehicles and went to the Gorukata area of Ramgarh. Some in plain clothes accompanied them on two motorcycles. From Gorukata, two army vehicles reportedly stationed themselves in Khagrabil Para.
The other two vehicles and two motorcycles reportedly stationed in Guja Para.
According to sources, the army may conduct operations in various villages.
Meanwhile, at around 10:00 AM today, armed members of the ‘Mottaleb Bahini,’ vigilante group supported by the army, were seen roaming in three motorcycles in Patachhara, Nakkapa, and Dataram Para areas.
The simultaneous presence of the army and the roaming of the vigilantes has caused fear and anxiety among the local residents.
