An army operation was conducted early this morning (Wednesday, 19 November 2025) in Debachari village of Ward No. 5 under Ghagra Union of Kaukhali Upazila in Rangamati district.
It has been learned that on Tuesday afternoon (18 November), a group of army personnel arrived from the Rangamati Zone in six vehicles and stayed at the Talukdarpara Army Camp. From there, at 5:00 a.m. today (19 November), a team of 63 army personnel went to Debachari village and carried out an operation in the nearby hills.
As of the time of writing this report (8:00 a.m.), it is not known what activities they conducted in the hills.
However, no reports have been received of any house searches or of any harassment of villagers.
The latest information indicates that the army team is currently positioned at Panchari High School.
According to reliable sources, these soldiers of the 60 Bengal unit will continue the operation until 21 November.
Meanwhile, knowledgeable circles say that frequent army operations in various areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts are creating negative perceptions about the army among local residents.
