A Tripura woman was reportedly killed at her home in Narendra Karbari Para, Ward No. 3 of Maischhari Union in Mahalchhari Upazila, Khagrachhari.
The victim has been identified as Anika Tripura, 30. Local residents believe the incident may have occurred at around 3 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Anika’s husband, Setu Tripura, is reportedly employed as a general Ansar personnel at Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital.
According to local residents, the assailants allegedly looted belongings from the house after killing Anika. They also suspect that she may have been raped before being killed.
The identities of those involved in the incident have not yet been established.
Police reportedly went to the scene after receiving information about the incident.
