AN ACTIVIST of the United Peoples’ Democratic Front (UPDF) has been arrested in Sindukchari, Mahalchari Upazila, according to sources.
The army arrested Dhana Chan Tripura, alias Dhiren, 35, son of Horendra Tripura without a warrant on Saturday night, at 1am, from his home in the village of Sukanta Mahajon Para under Sindukchari Union.
He is a member of a local unit of the UPDF. The army later handed him over to Guimara police station.
