A JUMMA teenage girl was subjected to an attempted rape on Saturday in Lemuchari under Mahalchari Upajila, Khagrachari.
The victim, a 15 years old girl from Bot-tola in Lemuchari, was returning home from Lemuchari Buddhist Temple in the evening when Ruhul Amin, a Bengali settler, attacked her.
As the girl reached a lonely and dark place approximately one kilometer from the temple, Amin grabbed her from behind and tried to rape her.
However she fought back with the help of her three friends who were a few distance ahead of her on the way, and saved herself.
