Residents of Barobelchari Para in Ramgarh Upazila, Khagrachari district, are gripped with fear after a group of army personnel took position at the Barobelchari Government Primary School.
According to reports, on Tuesday night (September 16, 2025) at around 7:30 PM, a group of 30–35 soldiers from the Batnatali Army Camp arrived at the Barobelchari Government Primary School in Ramgarh and have taken up temporary residence there. It has been reported that they will be staying the night.
Locals are fearful, worried that the soldiers may conduct house searches or engage in harassment or oppression at any time.
This is not the first time the army has taken position at the school; on previous occasions, they have launched operations in the area from the same location.
Residents believe the army’s repeated activities in the area are intended to spread fear among the public and carry out oppression and abuse.
