A COLLEGE student was arrested on Saturday night (4 November) in connection with the February 2017 gruesome murder of Eti Chakma in Khagrachari.
A joint contingent of army and police led by M. M. Salauddin, additional superintendent of police, arrested Ripel Chakma, a student of Khagrachari Government College, from a house at Chinginala in Khagrachari town.
He was severely tortured after the arrest and was sent to jail after implicating him in the Eti murder case.
