THE army searched six houses belonging to Jumma people in two villages in Ramgarh in the morning today, according to sources.
A group of army personnel from Sindukchari zone raided the villages of Pilabhanga and Tobola Para under Patachara Union at 6 a. m. and searched the houses for what they called “terrorists”.
The houses searched in Pilabhanga village belong to Pratap Singh Chakma, 50, son of Upendra Chakma; Ashania Chakma, 35, son of Kormadhan Chakma; and Bor Bharat Chakma, 33, son of late Matha Ranga Chakma.
It should be noted that Pratap Singh Chakma’s house had been searched several times in the past.
The army personnel also searched three more houses in neighbouring Tobola Para village. These belong to Sajeng Marma, 53, son of late Amra Marma; his son Ruhla Marma, 30, and Momo Marma, 42, son of Cho Hla Aung Marma.
Sajeng Marma is the Karbari or head of Tobola Para village.
