DYF leaders’ houses searched for the third time in Baghaichari

THE army on Thursday night searched the houses of the leaders of the Democratic Youth Forum in Baghaichari, Rangamati for the third time in a week.

According to sources, a group of army personnel led by Lt. Tanveer from Korengatoli camp carried out the search during a raid in the villages of B-Block and C-Block under Bongoltoli Union.

The aim of the raid was to arrest Chikke Dhan Chakma, a central Committee member of the DYF and a UP member, and Jyotirmoy Chakma and Bimal Kanti Chakma, general secretary and organizing secretary of DYF Baghaichari branch respectively.

The soldiers searched each and every corner of the houses and turned them upside down, throwing things around.

However, they failed to arrest them as none of them was at home at the time.

Previously, the army had searched their houses on 18 and 21 September.
