A team of the Bangladesh Army conducted patrol operations in several locations in Ramgarh, Khagrachari district. Locals have been informed that such operations may continue for the next 15 days, leading to widespread concern among the general population.
It has been learned that today, Tuesday (18 November 2025), at around 7:00 a.m., 45 army personnel from the Batnatali Camp carried out a patrol in the Salda Para area of Ramgarh. After staying there for about two hours, they moved to the Government Primary School in Bara Belchari Para around 9:00 a.m., where they took position and conducted an operation in Hachuk Para. Residents reported that the soldiers deployed drones for surveillance in the area.
Later, around 2:00 p.m., the army personnel reportedly returned to the camp.
Local residents fear that daily life and normal activities may be disrupted during the course of these operations.
Residents of Bara Belchari Para said that the soldiers informed them they would conduct continuous operations throughout the area for the next 15 days.
It is noteworthy that in recent times, either the army or BGB personnel have been conducting operations almost regularly in Ramgarh. Many people have reportedly been subjected to arrests, repression, and harassment as a result.
Local residents have demanded an end to such repressive operations by state forces.
