First man: The army came along with the Bengalis. We could do nothing (to resist them). The army were with them. They burnt down everything.
Second man: There were coconut trees … (all burnt down).
Third man (in blue shirt): They burnt down everything. There were no ways we could save them. The Bengalis came along with the army. We were few in number. I cajoled the army officer and said: “Sir, please save us.” He said: “Go, leave this place.”
