THE National Committee Against Fascism and Imperialism held a rally today at central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka, demanding constitutional recognition for the different ethnic and linguistic nationalities living in Bangladesh.
Chaired by Petition Pradhan, the rally was addressed by Professor Akmal Hossain, general secretary of NCAFI, Jatio Mukti Council leader Hasibur Rahman, Khasia Students Association president Bimal, Khalid Hossain from Urdu speaking community, DYF vice president Shanti Dev Chakma, PCP general secretary Sumen Chakma and HWF leader Bipasha Chakma.
Later the participants joined a march which ended at National Press Club.
